Love marriage – does it determine whether a person chooses a career he or she loves?

The question may be a bit odd, but I believe so. Perspective varies from person to person, hence before discussing about the question, I will tell my perspective of a love marriage.

Love nowadays which films, magazines portray and which many people believe is infatuation. In fact, Love is something more, it is felt by hearts, a state of selflessness for somebody who is nobody to you. It is about a boy and girl first getting close together understanding each other. With time they realize that it could be great for their life if they become life partners, the reason obvious. They understand and complement each other, which is essential for a happy life. It does not necessarily mean that both of them have similar thinking and similar tastes. It also does not that a good friendship between a boy and a girl would end up in a marriage. But if it happens, it would be really great.

In case of a love marriage a person can pursue a career of interest, because the person will be supported by his love. A person will be allowed to do so by his partner, as his love knows that only this could give him satisfaction and happiness in life. It is not the same in case of an arranged marriage, as both will have various dreams and aspirations in life. A compromise has to be reached which leads to the sacrifice of career, in most cases. A person may be happy, but will he be contended if he is not allowed to pursue the career of interest?

The answer is hard to be accepted, but it is no.

Though many other factors determine the career, I believe this one is the most important one.

What do you say?

Remember Narayana Moorthy may not have carved himself a place in history if he had an arranged marriage. He was able to venture into a new business only because of the backing of his wife.

This is true both in the case of a man or a woman.
