Do you know, What God is thinking now?

He will be thinking about how M.Karunanidhi, D.M.K party president will fufill his electoral promises, if he comes to power.

Have you heard the recent electoral promises of M.Karunanidhi, President of D.M.K. for the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

For those who have not heard about that, here are they

We will provide
  • Quality rice at two rupees per kilo

  • FREE colour TV for all households that do not have one

  • FREE gas stoves to poor women

  • MATERNITY assistance of 1,000 rupees for three months before delivery and three months after delivery

  • WAIVER of all co-operative loans to small and marginal farmers

  • FREE power to weavers

  • TWO acres of land for each poor farmer

  • THREE hundred rupees per month to every unemployed person.

If DMK after coming to power tries to implement even 50 per cent of its promises the State will coffers be empty in a jiffy.

Giving rice at Rs. 2 alone will add a deficit of 3000 crores to the state budget. How are they going to manage it?

Then giving TV to all households without one is another absurd promises I believe. The manifesto states like this "Provision of colour TV sets to every family for women's recreation and general knowledge". How providing Television sets will improvknowledgege?

It is just a stunt to expand the penetration of the party's cable channel Sun TV.

The list doesn't end there, another most glaring fact is providing two acres of land to poor farmers. Where will Karunanidhi get lands for so many people?

At no point in the manifesto there is a mention of how the finances are going to be handled.

Does Karunanidhi think we are idiots?

I am not saying Jayalalitha is a one of the honest persons on this world. I am also not campaigning against D.M.K., just venting out my thoughts. Please do sit back and think about it.

NTR had the scheme of Rs 2/kg rice only for the very poor(very few could avail it, was given in the Ration shops). He actually won the election on the grounds of his promise to abolish alchohol from AP.

Giving away free TVs? Is it even remotely possible?

Maternity Assitance Scheme: I second Divya on this.
Electricity: I second Divya on this.

Free Land: Are you kidding??? He might have to borrow the state of AP as well.

Comment on the Blog:

I think it is more logical to have your Archives listed upside down: Most recent first?

Yes Karunanidhi thinks you are an idiot. Are you planning to vote this time? Because if you don't Karunanidhi is right abt you. You might. Think abt your friends. Or the number of them who are going to vote.

I dont know how many of you people know but World bank imposes some restrictions (on loans) if you provide free electricity!!!

I will not say this to be manifeto but an implied
bribery paid for people by Kalaingar to elect DMK.
In his so called manifesto there is no sign or
solution for the developmental issue. Every thing free...free...
free... Did Kalaingar think that TamilNadu govt revenue is free for him?
Why should govt incur loss for DMK to win the election?
Using the same money generate same more by investing it in agri or
industrial sector etc.., Lots of ways are there.
Next to the rice issue. Why should be the rice cost be
given at Rs. 2/kg which is equalent to giving it free. Why should we
people get the rice at such a lower cost. Are we people of TN lower to that
standard? or Tamil Nadu dot have any resource for development.
Rather try to increse the people's standard to meet the
present environment. Please dont lower our standards to beggers by
giving something for nothing ie Free
"Free.. Free..Free" manifesto was not only given with their
present aim of winning election but also with thier future aim of
making a consealed and masterminded corruption.
His manefesto if woks out then it imply that we have
accepted bribe and we people are lower to the standards of beggers
This doesnt mean other parties are good. I mean to say
Kalaingar tries to lower the standards of state as well as people by
alluring his manifestoes.
